Local Shops & Services:

Nearest shops, bars, services and cook shops are located in Spring Garden village, (1.5 miles). The shops provide a supply of household hardware, consumables and groceries plus various animal feeds. Mechanical and vehicle services including tyre changing and puncture repair are also available.

Additional shops and butcher, Shoe & Clothing repairs, Post Office, Schools, Buses & Taxis are to be found in Kensington (3 miles), which is located on the main Fairfield Road (to Montego Bay.)

Labour:

Casual and/or permanent labour is available locally at good rates to cover all aspects of farm management and building services etc.

Satellite, Cable & Terrestrial TV:

Local terrestrial television channels are available via a conventional rooftop aerial and cable installed to the ground floor lounge. Satellite TV (not currently installed) would be available upon the installation of suitable dish and receiver equipment if required. Cable TV is also now currently available in the area.

Mobile (Cell) Phone & Internet Access:

Available via several local mobile (cell) networks and ISP’s with good signal strength in and around the property. 3G & 4G networks are now also available from Montego Bay. A wireless network can be set up to enable full internet access as and where required, or be provided for the benefit of visitors / guests. High speed Internet access is now possible via long-range Wi-Fi via a choice of more than 30 access points (AP's) located in and around Montego Bay at reasonable monthly rates.

Cooking:

Cooking and baking can be done either internally or 'al fresco' (outdoors) via the fire and oven situated in the rear garden. Internal cooking is achieved using bottled gas (LPG or similar) on any stove or stove/oven/grill combination that is suited for use on liquid gas. Bottled gas is readily available for sale in many local outlets.

Cooking and baking 'al fresco' using the purpose built fire/oven couldn't be easier nor more satisfying. An ample supply of firewood and kindling is kept adjacent to the fire and oven, and additional supplies are collected and placed about the property.
